이재명 대통령이 29일, APEC 정상회의 주간을 맞아 국빈 방한 중인 도널드 트럼프 미국 대통령을 만나
한미 정상회담을 개최했습니다.

이재명 대통령 지난 8월 25일 방미 백악관 회담에 이은 두 번째 만남인데요. 새정부 출범 후 5개월여 만에 한미 정상의 상호 방문이 이루어 졌습니다.

경주 APEC 정상 회담은 87분 간 진행된 이날 오찬 회담에서 두 정상은 '경제 사안'을 비롯해 '동맹의 현대화' '한반도 평화''한미간의 조선·제조업 협력' 등 포괄적인 의제에 대해서 논의했습니다.

따라서 한미 정상회담 결과, 두 번째 '경제 분야'의 주요 내용 계속 전해드립니다.

President Lee Jae-myung announced that, "Putting national interests first, we reached an agreement on the Korea-US tariff negotiations with US President Trump on October 30th."

President Lee Jae-myung met with US President Donald Trump, who was on a state visit to Korea during the APEC summit week, on the 29th and held a Korea-US summit.

This was President Lee's second meeting, following the White House meeting on August 25th. It marked the first reciprocal visit between the leaders of South Korea and the US in about five months since the inauguration of the new administration.

During the 87-minute luncheon meeting in Gyeongju, the two leaders discussed a wide range of topics, including economic issues, modernizing the alliance, peace on the Korean Peninsula, and cooperation in the shipbuilding and manufacturing industries between South Korea and the US.

Therefore, we will continue to report on the key findings from the Korea-US summit, particularly the second "economic area."
