김홍이/Alexander Utt. 기자=이재명 대통령은 25일 뉴욕에서 폴란드의 나브로츠키 대통령과 처음으로 정상회담을 하게 되어 매우 기쁘게 생각한다고 말했습니다.

이어 李 대통령은 대한민국은 비EU 회원국 중으로는 폴란드에 두 번째로 많은 투자를 하고 있으며, 나브로츠키 대통령과 함께 양국 간 방산 협력이 전차 등을 중심으로 발전해 온 점을 높이 평가하고, 양국 기업이 호혜적 차원에서 많은 성과를 거둘 수 있도록 협력을 확대해 나가기로 했습니다.

또한 나브로츠키 대통령은 절실히 논의가 필요한 시점에 AI와 국제평화·안보를 주제로 우리나라가 안보리 공개토의를 개최한 점을 높이 평가하며 이번 토의에 참석해 주었다.

따라서 한반도 및 기타 지역 정세에 대해서도 의견을 교환하며 앞으로 국제 사회에서의 협력을 한층 더 공고히 해 나가자고 뜻을 모았다고 밝혔습니다.

Republic of Korean President Lee Jae-myung expressed his delight at holding his first summit with Polish President Nawródzki in New York on the 25th.

President Lee continued, stating that Republic of Korea is the second-largest investor in Poland among non-EU member states. He and President Nawródzki praised the development of defense industry cooperation between the two countries, particularly in areas such as tanks.They agreed to expand cooperation so that companies from both countries can achieve significant results on a mutually beneficial basis.

President Nawródzki also praised Republic of Korea's hosting of a UN Security Council open discussion on AI and international peace & security at a time when such discussions are so urgently needed, and he expressed his gratitude for attending the discussion.

He also stated that they agreed to exchange views on the situation on the Korean Peninsula and other regions and to further strengthen cooperation within the international community.
