The bereaved family of George Floyd, a black man who died in the process of being arrested for the cruel act of a white policeman who crushed his neck with his knees, agreed to receive compensation of about 30 billion won from the city authorities.
According to the Associated Press & CNN, the city of Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA, agreed to pay $27 million to the bereaved in a civil lawsuit filed against the city by Floyd's bereaved family on the 12th (local time). Was unanimously approved by voting.  Of the settlement, $500,000 is paid to the town where Floyd was arrested.

무릎으로 목을 짓누르는 백인 경찰의 가혹 행위로 체포 과정에서 숨진 흑인 조지 플로이드의 유족이 시 당국으로부터 약 300억원의 배상금을 받기로 했다.
AP 통신과 CNN 방송에 따르면 미국 미네소타주 미니애폴리스시는 12일 플로이드의 유족이 시를 상대로 제기한 민사 소송에서 유족에게 2천700만달러를 지급하기로 합의 했다. 시위원회는 이날 합의안을 표결에 부쳐 만장일치로 승인했다. 합의금 가운데 50만달러는 플로이드가 체포됐던 동네에 지급된다.
