문재인 대통령, 새해 신년사에서 COVID-19 백신에 대해서는 다음달(2월)이면 백신 접종을 시작할 수 있다 면서 순위에 따라 순서대로 전 국민이 코로나19 백신을 무료로 접종받을 수 있도록 하겠다 고 언급했습니다. 따라서 국내의 자체 백신 개발도 정부에서 과감한 지원과 코로나바이러스 백신개발을 계속 추진과 독려하겠다고말했습니다. 이어 K-방역 백신 자주권을 확보하여 우리 국민의 안전과 국제 보건협력을 강화하는데 기여할 수 있도록 하겠다 고 밝혔습니다.

<Covid-19 vaccination development is imminent in Republic of Korea>

South Korean President Moon Jae-in said, Life & safety are still threatened & unprecedented economic difficulties for people's livelihoods continue, he said. I express my deep consolation to the people who are going through hard times. He added, The new year will definitely be another year, he added. 2021 will be a year of recovery, a year of inclusion & a year of leap forward for our people.

Regarding the COVID-19 vaccine, he said, We can start vaccination next month. We will continue to encourage the development of our own vaccine. We will secure the sovereignty of vaccines so that we can contribute to reinforcing public safety and international health cooperation.
